Qi is broadly interested in the field of quantum computing and engineering. He graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2020 summer, where he studied on applications of signal processing techniques. In 2021 spring, he came to MIT to explore the intersection between quantum computing and signal processing.

Outside his research life, Qi enjoys playing table tennis, working out and photographing. He also has a growing interest in cooking.
