Miuko Tanaka received her Ph.D. in 2021 from The University of Tokyo. During her Ph.D., she worked on quantum Hall ferromagnetism of graphene. In particular, she focused on the intrinsic Hall effect which take place in quantum Hall magnetic state.

At MIT, Miuko works on coupling between superconducting qubit and Van der Waals materials, which is a new hybrid quantum system and a sensitive tool to investigate the fundamental physics of 2D materials.
