Jonathan is a quantum engineering master’s student at ETH Zurich, currently spending a year in the Engineering Quantum Systems group as a visiting student. During his master’s thesis in the group, he is working on the experimental realization of quantum low-density parity-check codes.

His research at ETH Zurich included implementing lattice surgery on superconducting quantum processors in the Quantum Device Lab led by Professor Andreas Wallraff and the design and simulation of superconducting qubits in the Hybrid Quantum Systems group of Professor Yiwen Chu. Before coming to MIT, he did an internship at Entropica Labs in Singapore where he developed software for designing and analyzing quantum error correction circuits.

If you can’t find Jona in the lab, he’s probably somewhere in the mountains.
