Mathis is a master’s student in physics at ETH Zurich, currently spending a year at EQuS to complete his master’s thesis working on quantum dots as well as their integration with superconducting qubits. He gained practical experience during an internship at Silicon Quantum Computing in Sydney under Professor Michelle Simmons. Additionally, he was part of the ETH Rocket Team for two years, where he developed and built his own experiment.

In his free time, Mathis enjoys hiking and outdoor activities.
