Sameia Zaman is a graduate research fellow in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) department at MIT. She received her BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). In the past research, she worked on nature inspired GaAs based thin film photonic devices and photon trapping structures for ultra-high speed photosensors.

Sameia joined EQuS group in 2021 and she is working on 2D Van der Waals materials to build hybrid superconducting circuits. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking, trekking, and gardening.
