Junghyun received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Pohang university of science and technology (POSTECH), where he worked on microwave engineering. Prior to graduate school, he conducted research on photon-counting regime imaging at a Korean national laboratory.

Junghyun is currently a graduate student in EQuS, and his research interests include novel protected qubits and quantum gates.

He is fortunate to be supported by the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) Scholarship.
