Junghyun received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Pohang university of science and technology (POSTECH), where he worked on microwave engineering. Before graduate school, he worked as an officer at a Korean defense laboratory researching photon-counting regime imaging.

Junghyun is currently a graduate student in EQuS, and his research interests include multi-qubit coupling and microwave quantum optics.

Junghyun is a recipient of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) Scholarship.
