Welcome to the Engineering Quantum Systems website!  We are a diverse team of physicists and engineers working together to understand, design, manufacture, and control coherent quantum systems comprising superconducting artificial atoms (qubits) for quantum information science and technology applications. Our efforts span fundamental research to applied physics and systems engineering. 4/8/2020 – Leon Ding awarded 2020 IBM PhD Fellowship

2/25/2020 – Postdoctoral associate Jochen Braumüller and graduate student Leon Ding submitted their work on 1/f flux noise to the arXiv, titled “Characterizing and optimizing qubit coherence based on SQUID geometry.”

2/14/2020 – Francisca Vasconcelos publishes “Quantum Computing @ MIT: The Past, Present, and Future of the Second Revolution in Computing.”
