Ben received his B.S. and M.S. from the department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. Before joining the Engineering Quantum Systems Group, he investigated new types of solid-state quantum emitters and worked toward a logical qubit using spins in diamond. Currently, he is involved in designing new microwave packages for superconducting qubits and investigating possible applications of machine learning to improve quantum computing with superconducting qubits.
